Hot New Hip Hop said today that Bobby Shmurda is gearing up for his release from prison. The rapper uploaded another countdown this week except for this time it’s on his website and it says the 4th of August.
As it was previously reported, Bobby pled guilty to gang-related charges six years ago and since then, he has been waiting in the big house for his day of freedom. Bobby Shmurda was a part of the GS9 group alongside Rowdy Rebel, and both men are expected to get out sometime this year.
What’s new about this story is that Bobby’s release was originally planned for December 2020, however, the rapper has begun a new countdown. It’s possible he may have been allowed an early release on good behavior.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, his cohorts in the music business have been waiting for him to get out for a long time, including Boosie Badazz, who previously claimed he was eager to work with him.

As it was noted above, a countdown has already been created related to Bobby Shmurda. On the 9th of May, 2020, it was reported that many fans of his were clamoring for his early release following the news that Tekashi 6ix9ine was getting out early.
Tekashi 6ix9ine was incarcerated on racketeering charges for which he only served approximately two years. 6ix9ine gave up information on his former friends in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods which led to a significantly reduced sentence.
When the reports of his arrest came out, he was looking at 69 years in prison, which many fans couldn’t help but notice due to the obvious coincidence. Either way, around that time, talk of Bobby Shmurda getting out of prison became a lot more popular.
The main difference between the two performing artists, however, is that Bobby is a lot more respected among his peers in the industry, considering he never ratted out his friends in the gang he was associated with, whereas Tekashi 6ix9ine did.
Daniel Hernandez, AKA Tekash 6ix9ine, already addressed this controversy, however.
