Billie Faiers and her husband Greg Shepherd are set for further disappointment with their dream Essex home.
The couple, who last month submitted plans for a slightly smaller house, have been hit with a bombshell as their new neighbours have reportedly asked the council to “reject” their amended plans.
Billie and Greg purchased the 1920s property earlier this year, and both dreamed of revamping the home into a five-bedroom mansion over a planned year and a half long project.
Their recently amended plans for a smaller home come as Billie and Greg were refused planning permission for the £1.4m home in June.
It’s said the Mummy Diaries star and her husband’s new plans show they want to reduce the project by millimetres.
However it has reportedly failed to be a hit with the neighbours.
According to The Sun, locals have complained about their privacy and the accuracy of the floor plans.
The outlet claims the locals wrote in a letter to the council: “We object to the construction of a new raised patio to the rear of the proposed extension on the grounds that it is too high above ground level.
“If it is permitted we will suffer significant loss of privacy from the use of this patio which is exceptionally large and could accommodate a great many guests.”
The neighbours allegedly complained that five windows being fitted into Billie and Greg’s extension will give an “unrestricted” view into their home.
Others have also reportedly asked for a topological survey before the project goes ahead to get an accurate depiction of the site.
Billie’s representative declined to comment when contacted by Mirror Online.
The married couple submitted new plans for their dream pad in Essex last month.
But after they were refused planning permission, Billie and Greg presented new plans for a smaller house.
The design and access statement shows that the new home’s extension height will be reduced by just 500mm, according to the publication.
It’s claimed the stars have made adjustments to the design so the property is not as close to their neighbours.
The report obtained by the outlet states: “The planning officer confirmed that these now overcome the reasons for refusal on the original application. They therefore recommended that a revised application be submitted.”
In June, former TOWIE star Billie faced a setback as planning officials refused their application to renovate their new property into their dream home.
Brentwood Borough Council stated in a report: “It would be the biggest house on the street and the increase in size from the original home would not be acceptable.”
Previous owners of the property were reportedly granted permission to build two houses on the land, but plans for one huge home have been turned down.
Billie and Greg’s new neighbours were concerned their new home would be too close to theirs, and would affect their privacy.
However the report did not find this a concern.
“Taking all matters into the planning balance the proposal cumulatively results in significant harm to the appearance and character of the area, and cannot be mitigated by the imposition of planning conditions; the proposal therefore conflicts with policy CP1 and is recommended for refusal,” the report concluded, according to the publication.
