Diversity dancer and choreographer Ashley Banjo has shared a unbelievably cute birthday throwback snap.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 32, took to his Instagram account to share a snap of himself from years prior.
In the image the tiny chap is seen in a black t-shirt with patterned sleeves, mustard shorts and some colourful trainers.
The little Ashley posed with hands in his pockets and a big grin on his face.
Adult Ashley captioned the image: “4/10/1988 – The Birthday Boy
“A Thank you lot for all the love.
“Gonna Enjoy today and then onto the next year of inevitable madness” #nextchapter#birthdayboy “.
His Britain’s Got Talent co-judge Amanda Holden commented on the post by posting two black hearts in emoji form.
Meanwhile, Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore commented: “Happy birthday xxx”.
More of Ashley’s 923,000 followers flooded the comments section with well-wishes for the Diversity choreographer.
It comes following a difficult period of trolling and online abuse directed at Ashley after Diversity performed a routine in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and in memory of the death of African-American man George Floyd earlier this year, prompting complaints about the dance.
ITV and Ashley’s fellow judges have all stood by Diversity and the routine.
Two other high-profile supporters of Diversity’s stand against racism came in the form of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Sussex of Sussex, who have revealed they had spoken to Ashley following the row.
Prince Harry told The Evening Standard : “We spoke to Ashley Banjo a few weeks ago, straight after the Britain’s Got Talent situation.
“And that in itself, I am sure even me talking about it will be controversial, but the reality of it is he and his team of guys put on the most amazing display.”
They continued: “We had such a good chat with Ashley. He was really strong, he felt great about it, but at the same time he was concerned because of the reaction.
“It was a real surprise that there was what? 1,100 complaints after the show and then three days of hype it became 20 or 25,000.”
The dance has now garnered above 27,000 complaints to broadcasting regulator Ofcom.
