Victoria and David Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn will reportedly not be around this Christmas and is instead expected to remain in the United States.
The 21-year-old photographer – who popped the question to Nicola Peltz over the summer – is set to remain with his fiancée and her family during the festive season because of quarantine restrictions.
Doting mum Victoria Beckham is said to be “devastated” that the family are unable to fully come together to celebrate Christmas.
An insider speaking to Heat magazine explained that Brooklyn would have to quarantine both in the UK and upon his return to the US which would be a “huge hassle” this Christmas.
“Brooklyn probably won’t be coming back, as he’d have to quarantine for two weeks when he arrives in the UK and again when they get back to the States which is a huge hassle,” the insider said.
“Vic understands, but she’s devastated – her dream Christmas has been ruined, and David has had to calm her down.
The Beckham’s Christmas plans are so far up in the air as the family consider how to stick to this year’s guidelines of three households.
While the family are known for their usually lavish festive getaways, this year the family are also unsure whether they will be able to jet away.
The insider added: “Originally, the plan was for Brooklyn and Nicola to do Christmas in America with the Peltz family, and then fly out to do the Beckham tropical family holiday. But with so many routes uncertain, it’s going to be a last-minute decision, so it’s up in the air.
After spending last Christmas at their Cotswolds home, the famous family then jetted out to Morocco where they enjoyed a perfect sun-filled start to the year.
They have also managed to squeeze in a holiday to Italy and Greece after the first lockdown came to an end.
However, it remains to be seen whether they will be able to find another lavish getaway over the festive season.
A representative for the Beckham family have been contacted for comment.
