Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Has New Screenshots Out Now Showcasing The Beautiful Environments

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the next installment in the long-running action-adventure series from Ubisoft. There have been a lot of these games over the last couple of years, but Valhalla looks to be like one of the more promising and unique.

You have the Viking culture, which is pretty easy for gamers to get behind. The latest God of War and For Honor really did the Vikings a solid and it looks like Valhalla is going to do the same thing.

The game is scheduled to release November 10th. October is drawing closer to an end so this date will be here before you know it. We know that the game has gone gold and the developer has kept the game in the news cycle with frequent trailers. The latest one was a deep-dive that peels back elements of the story.

It looks like players are in store for an incredible adventure centered around the Vikings set on conquering new areas of New England. Players also look to have a lot of incredible environments to explore. Some new screenshots just surfaced showing some of the areas in greater detail, in fact.

They were revealed by the game’s senior art director, Raphael Lacoste. He has a great history of creating some beautiful visuals, which can be seen in games like Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Origins — two fan-favorites of the franchise.

There is quite the variety in this latest offering, including rich forests, quaint villages with huts, icy waters with the aurora lights up above, and large cities with fantasy-like elements. You get the feeling that Valhalla will be extremely open and have a lot of detail for players to take in as they move throughout the intriguing story.

The Assassin’s Creed games always have had a lot of great environmental elements, but it looks like Ubisoft is doubling down on the visuals and areas to explore according to these latest screenshots.

We’re only a couple of weeks out before fans can go back to Viking times and see if they have what it takes to conquer new lands ruled by powerful opponents. The series has been going strong for years now, and Valhalla looks like the perfect title to introduce the series to next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft. If you haven’t played one of these titles in a while, Valhalla could be the perfect installment to reel you back in.
