Alex Reid’s fiancée Nikki Manashe is expecting a baby after the couple have struggled with infertility issues for seven years – and they couldn’t be more excited
Alex Reid ‘s fiancée Nikki Manashe has revealed she is pregnant after struggling with infertility for seven years.
The former cage fighter’s wife-to-be shared the exciting news on Instagram to mark four weeks.
Writing with excitement, Nikki shared: “It’s official!! I can finally say it!!! My hCG levels today are 366!!! I was told that a healthy pregnancy should be around 100 and for twins 250 plus!!!”
Nikki, who is an IVF blogger, is having to self-isolate away from Alex until she’s 28 weeks pregnant due to the medication she is taking, which puts her at a higher risk of catching the coronavirus.
Speaking about the amazing news, Nikki told Mail Online : “I am still in shock. I don’t think it is going to hit me until I have a big belly!
“I had two embryos transferred and because my doctor is happy with my hCG levels she is thinking it could be an inclination that it could be twins.
“Alex knew I was pregnant. He said, ‘I told you there was nothing to worry about’.”
The pregnancy is such incredible news for the couple, who have struggled to have children for years.
Nikki has suffered five miscarriages and undergone four cycles of IVF.
She has also been diagnosed with PTSD during her heartbreaking pregnancy journey.
Nikki couldn’t wait to share the news with her fans on her Instagram page after being told the delightful news by Harley Street Fertility Clinic.
“I know it’s so early on but how can I not share this when I’ve been blogging my journey with you and who makes up these rules that we can’t embrace pregnancy at 4 weeks and 1 day?” she wrote.
“So on that note I can’t believe I am writing this, I’m one step closer! The Reid babies will be here by June/July!
“I hope my Instagram account shows you to never give up on your dreams, to keep fighting for what you want, to believe and trust.”
