The actor is part of today’s episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show and he had a message for the host amid the drama that has been going on with the workplace toxicity allegations! That being said, Alec Baldwin showed his support of Ellen, telling her to ‘keep going!’
As you know, this is the host’s first week back in the studio after doing it remotely from the comfort and safety of her own home during the quarantine.
Ellen tells Alec that it means a lot for her that he is part of her premiere.
And since the actor and his wife just welcomed yet another addition to their family, Ellen just had to ask him about the new baby!
In response, he said: ‘Before we talk about my kids, Ellen, I just want to say, you are someone, I’ve followed your career from when you were doing standup and you were a solo performer. I’ve watched the films you’ve done and I’ve watched your success on this TV show, and you are one of the funniest and most talented women, one of the most funny and talented people in all of show business. We all have some patches of white water here, but you keep going. Don’t you stop doing what you’re doing.’
Ellen DeGeneres seems grateful to hear his encouraging words and replies: ‘Yes, sir! Thank you so much, Alec. That means so much to me. I appreciate it. Yeah, there have been some rapids and I’m maneuvering the raft.’
Then, towards the end of the interview, when he’s actually talking about his own family, the actor seems to go back to that same message about Ellen having to keep going no matter what.
‘You just keep moving forward because it’s not the same without you. You’re funny. We need you. We need you, we need you. Keep log rolling as best you can, OK?’ he says sweetly as Ellen assures him she’s going to do exactly that!
