Stevie Nicks has signalled she would be interested in dating Harry Styles – if only he were a few years older.

The 72-year-old music icon and the 26-year-old former One Direction star have a firm friendship – having bonded over an apparent love of music.

Eyebrows were raised last year when Harry introduced Fleetwood Mac icon Stevie during a speech as she was inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the USA.

During his speech, Harry declared the Need Your Love So Bad singer was: “everything you’ve ever wanted in a lady, in a lover, in a friend.”

And Stevie seems more than happy to fuel speculation of an attraction between the two – but hinted she may have an awareness of the 46 year age difference between them.

During a chat with the LA Times, Stevie was asked “if an older version of Styles would be her type”.

The star replied with a chuckle: “Well… that would be a good thing.”

In the interview she also said she is “very proud” of how Harry has evolved his career from One Direction star to a rock and roll wrist.

She praise him: “because he made a choice to be a rock ‘n’ roll star and not a pop star.”

In the same interview, Stevie also explained how she is looking for love – but won’t be signing up to Tinder, Bumble or the likes.

She said: “Now, if I was even, like, 30 or 40 or 50, I would never use a dating app. I find that to be totally desperate.

“I watch all those crime shows. Are you setting yourself up with an ax murderer or something?”

Meanwhile, Harry is believed to be growing close to The Crown star Emma Corrin.
