Michelle Keegan to become a WAG as Mark Wright pursues professional football career
Former TOWIE star Mark Wright is determined to become a professional football star and his actress wife Michelle is now on her way to becoming a WAG
Michelle Keegan could be set to add ‘WAG’ to her many accolades after husband Mark Wright confirmed that he’s setting out on a professional football career.
Former TOWIE star Mark, 33, has his heart set on fulfilling his childhood dreams of becoming a football star after he ditched his sporting ambitions to become a reality TV star.
After experiencing TV fame, the handsome star is now determined to pick up where he left off in terms of his footie talents, and his actress wife Michelle is now on her way to becoming a WAG.
Lifting the lid on his sports-star dreams, Mark told Mail Online that he’s adamant about showcasing his skills on the pitch before it’s too late.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star then admitted to ‘ruining’ his chances of becoming a professional football star in his early twenties when his focus was skewed.
He insisted: “I would definitely debate pursuing football. Before it’s too late that’s something I would love to do.
“I came away from football too young if you ask me. I ruined my career by my own faults when I was 21 and it’s something that has always stuck with me.
“I have definitely been toying with the idea and will review it over the next month and decide if I want to give it a go.”
Proving that he’s serious about his ambitions, Mark revealed that he has already been approached by Billericay Town’s Club following his Soccer Aid stint.
Despite the blossoming opportunity, Mark politely declined the offer due to the fact that he only desires to play for the professional leagues because ‘that would be the whole point’.
Mark, who tied the knot with former Corrie star Michelle in 2015, also revealed that he’s keen on making a return to the USA in the near future.
He started up his American TV career when he starred alongside Mario Lopez on TV show Extra but after two years, he decided to call it a day to come back to the UK to spend time with Michelle.
The pair are currently in the midst of a huge property project as they demolish a pad in Essex before they begin work on their dream home in its place.
The lovebirds have reportedly splashed a whopping £1.3million on their dreamy mansion.
