Maya Jama puts up Christmas tree in September as she is ‘so done with 2020’

Radio presenter Maya Jama has decided to embrace the festive season in September as the weight of 2020 bears down on all of us

Television beauty Maya Jama has put up a Christmas tree in September as she is ‘so done with 2020’.

The radio presenter, 26, shared a post in partnership with hair care brand Aussie Hair on Instagram.

The post saw an image of Maya in a cream roll-neck jumper dress as she posed with a wink and her tongue out beside a purple-themed decorated Christmas tree.

Beneath the tree was a collection of Aussie Hair products that the beauty was promoting.

Maya penned: “So done with 2020 I’m flinging the Christmas tree up now

“My loves @aussiehair have been performing miracles on my barnet since day 1 (their SOS range from @bootsuk is incred) Christmas shopping – completed it. #greathairthough”.

Naturally, Maya’s 1.9million Instagram followers lapped up the image and caption and took to the comments section to share their love for the star and her Christmas delight.

One fan wrote: “if maya jama puts up her xmas tree so do I… brb”.

Another follower added: “Christmas and purple – My brain went straight to Quality Street purple one”.

“Not a bad idea the way this year has gone,” wrote one fan agreeing with her eagerness to start Christmas early.;

Meanwhile, a different Maya admirer penned: “Love this photo!! We’re feeling the same…”

“You go girl I love Christmas,” echoed another fan.

However, one was less keen, noting: “Nooooooo edit the tree out we not ready”.

Finally, one Maya follower concluded: “LMAO Maya u rlly skipped spooky Szn and went straight to xmas.”

The festive fun from Maya comes after she opened up about having a relationship in the spotlight, having dated Grime star Stormzy for four years until their split in August 2019.

“I feel that going out with an artist, you kind of sign an invisible contract where it’s like, ‘This is this, it’s everybody’s business’,” Maya told Madison Beer during a Q&A session, according to The Sun.

Maya also previously told Cosmopolitan that it has made her wary about her future relationships too.

She said: “It makes me nervous [about] who I’m going to be with next, because if they aren’t in the public eye already, maybe they’re going to be brought into [it].

“It’s made me extra careful. I was 20 when I got into that [with Stormzy]. Now life is different. Even social media is bigger.

“It’s going to be harder to keep things private but I’ll do my best.”
