Pregnant Chrissy Teigen has told of the moment she desperately sought her baby’s heartbeat after a health scare.

The 34-year-old, who’s expecting her third child with husband John Legend, was warned her pregnancy is high-risk, and was hospitalised over the weekend following a month of bleeding.

Now she’s told of her “really scary morning” and her relief once doctors had found her baby’s heartbeat.

“Just had a really scary morning,” she told her Twitter followers, “huge clot, almost save-worthy. The scramble to hear the heartbeat seemed like hours.

“I never thought I’d relief sigh so much in my liiiiife.”

Chrissy and John have been met with a flood of fan support since she was hospitalised.

One wrote: “You’re amazing for sharing about your struggles with this pregnancy. I can’t imagine how stressful it’s been for you & John.

“Thank you for keeping us updated even though it’s none of our business. I wish nothing but the best for you and your family.”

Another offered: “I love how open you are about the struggles of pregnancy.”

A third chimed in: “We are sending so much love to you guys and thinking of #BabyLegend constantly. (Yes, I know that’s not his real name, but he’s already beginning his journey to be a legend).”

After she was rushed to hospital on Sunday, she explained on Instagram : “We all know I’ve been on bed rest for a few weeks and that’s like super-serious bed rest.

“I get up to pee and take baths twice a week, no showering, just as little as possible.

“But I was always, always bleeding. I’m about halfway through pregnancy and the blood has been going on for about a month, maybe a little bit less than a month.

“We’re talking about more than your period girls, it’s definitely not spotting. A lot of people spot but it’s usually fine. Mine was a lot.

“Every time I go to the bathroom it would be blood, and honestly just laying there there would be blood.”

But despite the worries, Chrissy let fans know she actually wasn’t feeling too bad.

“It’s so weird because I feel really good,” she told.

“I’m usually at my happiest pregnant, mood wise. That’s why it’s so hard for me to come to terms with.”
