Dancing On Ice ‘gets tough over quarantine’ ahead of pros meeting celeb stars

The next series of Dancing On Ice is now just two weeks away from launching – with an enforced quarantine for the pro skaters allegedly in place.

According to reports, the launch show of the upcoming 13th season of the winter sport reality show will be airing in two weeks time.

In the launch episode, the celebrity contestants get paired with their professional dancers, before being sent off for weeks of ice skating training ahead of the full series in January.

And it seems the professional skaters might have even more reason to be excited to see their celebrity partners for the upcoming series, as they will practically be the first person they will have seen for two weeks.

The Sun claims that pro skaters are being sent in to quarantine ahead of the series premiere.

The outlet claims: “each have to go through an enforced 14-day quarantine, starting this week, ahead of meeting their partners.”

The report goes on to claim the pros will be given daily temperature checks before training and have regular check ups.

While costumes for the next series could have even more material available to cover in sequins and rhinestones, as the pros are being asked to wear masks on the ice.

A source told The Sun: “ITV are taking no chances with this year’s show – each of the stars’ and professional skaters’ health is paramount.”

Mirror Online have contacted ITV for comment.

A string of celebs have already been signed up to the upcoming season – with presenter Denise van Outen, ex-Corrie star Faye Brooks, and Hear’Say babe Myleene Klass due to take to the ice.

Australian heartthrob Jason Donovan, Emmerdale star Joe-Warren Plant, and X-Factor star turned radio host Sonny Jay are also set to star.
