Kristin Cavallari breaks silence on Jay Cutler divorce after seven years of marriage

Kristin Cavallari has finally broken her silence following the news that she’s divorcing from Jay Cutler after seven years of marriage.
Kristin and former NFL star Jay – who share three kids together – broke the hearts of fans across the globe when they announced the end of their union in late April.
But although the news came as a shock to the world, it turns out that the breakup was brewing for a while for 33-year-old Kristin.
Speaking to People, Kristin revealed: “It didn’t happen overnight. We tried really, really hard for years and years. It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made.”
Kristin admitted that her marriage with Jay was completely different to how it looked for fans at home.
She went on: “I always thought it was interesting when people would refer to us as ‘couple goals’. I was like, ‘If you guys only knew’.”
Kristin – who was filming her own reality TV show Very Cavallari with her family at the time her relationship with Jay began to crumble – said: “We definitely kept a lot of stuff private.
“Producers saw stuff, but they didn’t put it in the show — which is good, because I don’t want my kids to ever [see that].”
The exes have agreed to have joint custody of their children as well as splitting their property portfolio.
The pair share sons Camden, seven, Jaxon, five, and four-year-old Saylor – who will spend half of the year with each parent after Kristen and Jay agreed to be “joint primary residential parents”.
And although raising three kids in a broken home is not an ideal situation for the reality TV star, Kristin insists that there’s no bad blood between the pair.
She explained: “I still care so much about him and talk to him almost every day. We have three kids together. He’s going to be in my life forever.
“Every relationship has their stuff. I met Jay when I was 23. I was a baby. Jay and I had so much love for each other, but we grew up.
“When you work at something for so many years and nothing’s changing, I think you have to just make a decision. We all want to be happy.”
Their divorce has sent shockwaves through the showbiz circuit after they had a happy 10-year relationship in the limelight.
Kristin and Jay were married in a romantic ceremony in Nashville in June 2013.
