Jennifer Aniston led the way with one of the hottest looks at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards.
The 51-year-old The Morning Show star made a surprise entrance to the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where host Jimmy Kimmel was presenting to an empty auditorium with the ceremony going virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It was a stunning appearance for former Friends star Jennifer as she wore a long, sleeveless black dress before almost coming unstuck when a joke backfired with Kimmel.
Jen was not the only one to cut a sensational figure as Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross also lit up the room with her gold outfit as she was one of the few to be on stage in person to present an award.
Zendaya was one of the big winners on the night, picking up outstanding lead actress in a drama for her role in HBO’s Euphoria.
Following her surprise win, the 24-year-old paid tribute to her fellow nominees, including Jennifer Aniston and Olivia Colman.
Zendaya could not hide her delight at the win, fighting back tears while clutching the Emmy surrounded by her jubilant family.
“There is hope in the young people out there,” Zendaya said, before addressing protesters who are still marching through the streets across America.
She said: “I see you, I admire you, I thank you.”
Regina King delivered a rousing acceptance speech after winning the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a limited series or movie.
The Oscar-wining star was recognised for her role in HBO’s searing drama Watchmen and wore a T-shirt bearing the face of Breonna Taylor, who was shot and killed by police in Kentucky in March.
“This is so freaking weird,” King said as she accepted the award from her home. She paid tribute to her fellow nominees, including Kerry Washington and Cate Blanchett.
An emotional King said “I truly love being a thespian” before thanking Watchmen creator Damon Lindelof for his “brilliant mind”.
Watchmen explores systemic racism and white supremacy. King nodded to the show’s themes as she urged people to vote, adding: “I would be remiss not to mention that”
She finished her speech with a tribute to late Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and said: “It is very important, be a good human. Rest in power RBG.”
Tracee Ellis Ross was also on hand to present an award and she struck gold with her striking outfit.
The comedian, who was up for lead actress for her role in Black-ish, wore a black face covering when on the limited red carpet but had ditched the mask before striding out on stage.
Meanwhile, Reece Witherspoon went for the little black dress look as she cut an elegant figure ahead of the ceremony.
She held up a glass in honour of those hoping to win though she may have downed it quick when Schitt’s Creek and Watchmen started sweeping the board.
There was always going to be one celeb that would appear on camera in a bathrobe or pyjamas and it was Gabrielle Union who fulfilled that role this time.
The former America’s Got Talent, who had her breakthrough as an actress in 2000 film Bring It On, looked like she had just stepped out of the shower as she was seen in a dressing gown and cap,
Yvonne Orji was more on the glam side as she wore an elaborate burgundy dress as she beamed on camera.
The Insecure star also had a Black Lives Matter fist shaved into the side of her head.
