Jennifer Aniston is making the most of 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards being a virtual ceremony by taking time to relax at home before the show kicks off.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, only awards host Jimmy Kimmell will be at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles as the nominees await at home to find out if they are a big winner.

The awards celebrate the best in US prime time television and The Morning Show star Jennifer is up for Outstanding lead actress in a drama series for her role in the Apple TV show.

With no dress code and the stars encouraged to “come as you are,” it has meant that there could be a wide range of states of dress (or undress) as the awards are announced.

Jennifer was among the first to share their virtual Emmys experience with a candid photo on her Instagram.

Posting to her 35 million followers, the 51-year-old former Friends star showed herself with a full face mask on and wearing her pyjamas.

Posing in what looks like her bedroom, Jen had a hair tie on her wrist as she blows a kiss to her fans.

In her other hands is a glass of bubbly as she looks enjoy the awards ceremony, whether she wins or loses.

She captioned the post: “Emmys prep… in my other mask. Congratulations to the nominees and all of the amazing performances we’ve seen this year.”

It was great preparation too as Jennifer looked stunning as she more a long black dress to ‘virtually’ present Catherine O’Hara with the first award of the night for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Schitt’s Creek.

Jennifer has tough competition in the Best Actress category with last year’s winner, Jodie Comer, nominated again for her role in Killing Eve.

They are joined by Olivia Colman (The Crown), Laura Linney (Ozark), Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) and Zendaya (Euphoria).

HBO’s Watchmen is the most nominated show, with 26 while The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel follows closely behind with 20 nominations.

Ozark and Succession are both up for 18 nominations each with several Succession cast members nominated for their first Emmy, including Nicholas Braun, Kiernan Culkin, Sarah Snook, Harriet Walter and Matthew Macfadyen.
