Reality star Lauren Goodger took aim at the pap pictures after she appeared totally different in a shot from her glamorous pre-birthday dinner.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 33, hit the town in Manchester with her close friend of eight-years Victoria Gage.
Quickly, among her fans one criticised her post writing: “U don’t even look like this just seen your pics in the papers totally different person such a bad influence to young girls”. (sic)
Lauren clapped back to say she was using “no filter” and she blamed the pap photographs for making her look different.
She captioned a video: “I said what do the pap pics make me look like”.
Then she posed for a selfie video with Vicky, saying: “I’m using no filter. Imperfections. My body is my body and my face is my face.”
Brunette beauty Lauren had earlier been pictured heading to Menagerie Restaurant & Bar on Thursday evening.
She strutted her stuff in a puff-sleeve blouse and in satin trousers with a wide-leg.
The TOWIE original cast member took to Instagram to post a glowing image of herself with pal Vicky.
The pair were holding glasses of bubbly as a jubilant and flawless-looking Lauren wrapped her arm around a smiling Vicky.
Lauren penned: “Birthday dinner for me and BAE just us @vickygage 8 years strong thank you for being you … thank you @menagerie_restaurant love Manchester!!”
” #friends#birthday#work#fillers#hotel#dinner#drinks#love “
Vicky commented on the post: “Love you xxx”.
One follower added: “FOMO over here”.
Others added: “You look happy and beautiful, makes me smile”.
“Both of u look amazing n something more than special one.”
The pair were also seen enjoying some delicious-looking food and luxurious beverages – with accompanying sparklers.
The latest posts come after Lauren hit out at suggestions by an MP to label photos on social media that have been filtered and edited prior to posting.
Lauren told new! magazine: “What’s next – shall we get rid of makeup? Shall we ban hair dye? These are things that change how you look and make you feel better.”
The Essex beauty described reasons why she might choose to edit her photos herself, and says this is down to her own personal anxieties.
“When I change the filter on my images it helps with my anxiety,” she explained, “as it makes me feel good and takes my mind elsewhere.
“Celebrities and non-celebrities use filters on Instagram, as it’s just light-hearted and harmless.”
It is unknown how exactly Lauren plans to spend her birthday this weekend, but we are sure it will be glamorous!
