Mark Wright refuses to let Michelle Keegan pay for dates after 5-year marriage

Mark Wright won’t let Michelle Keegan splash out for their fancy date nights even after five years of marriage but he jokes he’s getting poorer

Mark Wright won’t let his wife Michelle Keegan pay for dates.

In fact, the former TOWIE star admitted he finds it “very hard” when his actress wife does insist on picking up the bill.

Mark, 33, is estimated to be worth £9.1million while Michelle is worth £2.7million, according to reports.

The couple have a total net worth of £11.8million, according to The Sun.

While his wife does very well for herself, Mark said he can’t find it in himself to let her pay half all the time on dates.

He told Loose Women: “Obviously my wife works as well, does really well for herself, and she’s always insisting on paying half for everything.

“But when it comes to going out and dating – now I hope I don’t get shut down on this or hated – but I just find it very hard to allow her to pick up bills. She does sometimes because she goes on about it but I find that very hard.”

Yet the presenter couldn’t resist joking his old school thinking has meant he’s getting poorer while she’s getting richer.

The former Extra star said his wife was becoming the breadwinner because she’s landing a number of hot shot acting gigs.

He added: “Which by the way means she’s getting richer and I’m getting poorer! She’s becoming the breadwinner!

“But when it comes to going out and on date night I don’t know why but I always insist.”

They have been a power couple on the showbiz circuit for years.

The couple have been married for five years now.

They live happily at their £1.3million Essex mansion with their sausage dog.
