The good news is that Cyberpunk 2077, the hotly anticipated RPG coming from the legendary developers at CD Projekt Red, has finally past the T90 stage.
The past two delays, which have acted as a thorn to Cyberpunk 2077 fans, have both occurred at the T-90 mark (meaning 90 days prior to the targeted release date). That was August 21, and we strolled by the date with nary a glance, and much less an announcement, regarding CD Projekt Red’s upcoming massive title.
This bodes well, and the recent conference call minutes released recently by CDPR mirrors this rationale; in spite of the pandemic doing a bit of a number on their ‘creative studio’ and being less that ideal, Cyberpunk 2077 is in its final stage and they are preparing to ship the title to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC; it will also be backwards compatible with the next generation of consoles.
As of today, Cyberpunk 2077 is beginning its journey through final certification, meaning a final check of all components and that they’ll be accepted by console platforms; further, they are planning on continuing work on the title until ‘the very end’ as the game itself is colossal in scope.

CDPR states that they’re expecting a massive shift over to digital sales, yet they are currently adopting a conservative estimate of 50/50 split between physical copies, and digital. Further, the sale of Cyberpunk 2077 will not hold any discounts until well into the future; CDPR states that this is on par with their handling of The Witcher 3.
The conference also briefly mentions the CDPR store, which has recently launched and offers fans of CDPR’s titles some interesting and thematically appropriate accessories and apparel that matches their beloved titles.

Further, thanks to The Witcher and Cyberpunk 3077, CDPR has already seen a massive increase in profits: over 100 million PLN which exchanges to $26,564,129 after you do a bit of math.
CDPR is doing very well for themselves regarding profit; and they haven’t even launched Cyberpunk 2077 yet. In fact, they’ve delayed the title twice and have still managed a massive profit which many theorize is more on the back of their consumer-friendliness and content delivery more than any other form of loyalty.
The Netflix anime that CDPR has partnered with Japanese animation studios for is scheduled to be coming to Netflix in 2022, matching Cyberpunk 2077‘s theme with an anime called Cyberpunk Edgerunners.
There was a concrete statement that CDPR offered close to the close of the conference, and its resounding simplicity should put any fan at ease: ’19 November is the only date we have, and we will deliver.’ You can read through the minutes of the conference call, here.
