Frankie Bridge was reduced to tears this morning ahead of taking her six-year-old son Parker back to school.

The former Saturdays star, 31, shared an emotional post with fans as she admitted her eldest child was feeling “sensitive and anxious” about heading back into the classroom.

Boris Johnson has fully reopened England’s schools this week after everything closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Teachers’ unions have been in uproar over the move but schools have promised to make teaching environments safe with social distancing and mask-wearing.

But it seems as though the safety aspect of it wasn’t what little Parker was upset about, as doting mum Frankie admitted that it “all got a bit much for him” this morning.

In a candid post, the mum-of-two said there’s been “a lot of tears” from her and Parker, but reassured worried fans that he was “absolutely fine” when she and husband Wayne, 40, dropped him off.

Alongside the emotional snap, Frankie penned: “Not all back to school pictures are happy ones.

“Parker is definitely my sensitive and anxious child and it all got a bit much for him this morning.”

She went on: “There were lots of tears from him… which inevitably meant lots of tears from me.

“He was absolutely fine by the time we dropped him off though so hopefully he’ll have a good day.

“My big boy might be going into year 2… but he’s still my baby boy. #backtoschool #anxiety #love.”

Kids across the country are returning back to school this week, with Coleen Rooney also sharing a sweet snap of her boys decked out in their school uniforms.

The mum-of-four – who is married to football star Wayne Rooney – took to Instagram to share adorable pictures of sons Kai, 10, Klay, seven, and four-year-old Kit as they gear up to head back into the classroom.

Sharing the sweet snaps of her boys decked out in their uniform, the proud mum penned: “Good luck to my boys going back to school today. Love you all so much, be yourselves and keep smiling.”

Some parents have voiced their concerns over the health and safety of kids as they head back to classrooms, but these mums proved they are behind the move on getting kids back into the learning environment.
