Olly Murs has revealed that he would’ve loved to go on Love Island if he had never become famous.
The singer, 36, has said he wouldn’t shy away from heading into the villa to find love if his music career didn’t take off the way that it has.
In fact, Olly insists that if he ever made it on the hit ITV2 dating show, he’s convinced he’d have “cleaned up” as a contestant.
Speaking on Vicky Pattison’s The Secret To podcast, Olly confessed: “Of course I would have loved to go on Love Island.
“If I had never got famous I would have given Love Island a go, 100 per cent.”
He went on: “Me and my mates always talk about… ‘We would have done this, we would have done that’. I love watching it.
“Me and my mate spent weeks watching Love Island and me and Amelia [Tank] had just started seeing each other.
“We watched Love Island every night. If we were in Love Island we would have cleaned up, I would have won this.”
But it seems as though fans will never be able to see the Troublemaker star look for love in the villa as he’s very much in love with girlfriend Amelia.
The Voice coach has been dating city worker Amelia since January last year.
The pair have become known for the pranks and wind-ups they play on each other during lockdown.
And Olly has recently hinted that perhaps a proposal is on the cards from him to Amelia and an engagement won’t be far off.
Speaking to Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on Heart Radio, Olly was pressed by his hosts on Amelia.
Following Amanda hinting that she fully expects to see Olly propose to his girlfriend on TikTok, Olly seemed pretty taken with the idea.
Olly said: “Ooh wow, maybe that seems like it could be the way forward with this new generation of TikTok.”
