Rose McGowan has clashed with her former co-star Alyssa Milano as she called out her alleged ‘toxic’ behaviour on the set of Charmed.

The 46-year-old actress criticised the Democrats performance at their virtual national convention and Alyssa, 47, hit back at her on Twitter.

What started as a difference in political opinion soon descended into a personal takedown as Rose fumed at Alyssa’s response to her views.

It started on Friday when Rose accused the Democrats of “achieving” nothing following the final night of their convention.

Alyssa hit back by listing achievements of the Democratic party in a series of tweets aimed at Rose.

The actress tweeted: “Rose and anyone bleating the same ‘dEmOcRaTs DoNt HeLp PeOpLe’ nonsense, your lies are going to hurt people less privileged than you.

“It’s the kind of thing an ACTUAL fraud would do.

“Thousands of people are dying a day but you go on with your hyperbolic attention-seeking tweets.”

Rose responded by taking the argument down a personal path and called Alyssa out for being ‘difficult to work with’ on Charmed and for ‘stealing’ the #MeToo movement from its founder, Tarana Burke.

Rose wrote: “You stole #metoo (a brilliant communication tool, not a movement) from Tarana. You co-opted my movement, the Cultural Reset, for fame, jealous of me for outing my rapist. You made 250k per week on Charmed.”

She wasn’t finished there either, as Rose continued on Twitter to add about how Alyssa would treat people on set.

Rose added: “You threw a fit in front of the crew, yelling, ‘They don’t pay me enough to do this s***!’

“Appalling behavior on the daily. I cried every time we got renewed because you made that set toxic AF. Now, get off my coattails you f***ing fraud.”

The feud had not been settled by Sunday as Rose took to Twitter again to show how Alyssa had responded to her allegations.

Posting a screenshot on Twitter, Rose showed that Alyssa had blocked her on the social media site, with the row seemingly over for now.

PEOPLE has reported that a rep for Alyssa has said: “Hurt people hurt people. Commenting any further doesn’t align with my wellness plan.”

After the beginning of the #MeToo movement, Rose and Alyssa both were outspoken against sexual harassment in Hollywood.

This didn’t always sit well with Rose, who had spoken out about Alyssa’s involvement in the movement previously.

Speaking on Nightline with host Juju Chang in February 2018, Rose stated that she didn’t feel Alyssa should be involved.

Rose said: “I don’t like her, ’cause I think she’s a lie.”

Alyssa issued a statement to Nightline after that interview in which she pledged her support to Rose.

It read: “I am and always have been completely supportive of Rose and admire her bravery and speaking out about her experiences.

“My goal throughout the past few months with both #MeToo and the TimesUp movement has been to use my platform to give others a voice so we can all work together to stamp out sexual harassment and sexual assault.”
