Katie Price’s endorsed blackhead remover left girl with bruises across her face

A blackhead removing tool that was previously endorsed by Katie Price has left a student with horror bruises across her face.

Safia Hartwell, 24, from Norwich, decided to buy Bellevia’s blackhead remover vacuum tool after seeing the former glamour model, 42, endorse it on Instagram.

But the student didn’t know what she was in store for, after her £20 purchase soon made it “horrible looking in the mirror” at herself after using the blackhead remover.

What’s more, Safia insists she copied exactly how to use the tool from online videos so she doesn’t get it wrong, but said after just three minutes of using the item on its lowest setting, her face began to turn blue.

She rushed to contact the brand after the shocking ordeal, but says she hasn’t heard back after telling them what happened.

Safia said the situation has left her feeling “absolutely devastated” and admitted to even worrying about there being permanent damage to her face.

Speaking to Mail Online, she said: “I saw the product on Katie Price’s Instagram and thought I’d give it a go.

“I brushed it over my face as that’s what I saw in the advertising videos online. I had it on the lowest suction and wasn’t using it for long at all – just enough to go across my skin and vacuum the blackheads.”

She continued: “The bruises came out instantly – I just thought it was redness from the product and that it would go down in five minutes.

“Then within 20 minutes I realised that it had bruised all my face – it looked like I’d been beaten up really badly. I was so shocked, I just couldn’t believe it – it was horrible looking in the mirror seeing that.”

Safia admitted to never experiencing anything like this before, despite often seeing her dermatologists for botox, fillers and skin treatments.

She added: It bruised the skin all around my face and was so painful the first few days as it was tender and swollen.”

As she recovered from the injuries, Safia said she used a lot of makeup in a desperate bid to cover up the bruises.

The ordeal has forced Safia to urge others to think before buying blackhead remover vacuums.

She added: “It’s made me more wary about buying products online, especially when celebrities are endorsing them.

“Don’t be fooled and believe everything, because celebrities were raving about it so much and then it’s done that to my face.”

Mirror Online has contacted Bellavia for comment, as well as Katie’s reps.

It comes just one week after some of Katie’s fans were left furious as they accused her of promoting a scam on her Instagram story.

Katie posted on her Instagram stories in July promoting a big discount on watches from the Harry Lewis brand.

Posing up wearing one of the watches, the mum-of-five told fans they would get a hefty 80% discount with her code, on top of free shipping over a £20 purchase.

Katie shared the post on her Instagram stories on July 23 and 24, and many of her followers jumped to snap the watches up.

But some have now accused Katie of promoting a scam, saying they are yet to receive their products despite already being charged for them.

Some also say that they’ve tried contacting the company to ask where the items they had ordered were, only for their emails to bounce back.
