Holly Willoughby has cut short her holiday in Portugal so she can go through the 14-day quarantine before returning to This Morning.

Mirror Online can confirm the telly presenter, 39, has flown back to the UK early to make sure she has time to isolate at home for two weeks before getting back to work.

She has spent her summer break in the Algarve with her husband Dan Baldwin and their three children, children Harry, 11, Belle, nine, and Chester, five.

Holly is believed to be happy to do whatever is necessary to keep everyone safe before she returns to This Morning on September 7.

Government’s coronavirus restrictions mean any passengers returning from Portgual need to isolate for 14 days.

The guidance has been in place since June when the country suffered a spike in cases.

The Daily Mail reports Holly and her family had planned to spend seven weeks at the luxurious Quinta do Lago resort, which offers private villas with pools for a relaxing break in the sunshine.

However, they’ve now shaved two weeks off the break.

She’s stayed off social media for the majority of the trip, but has shared several selfies with fans including a shot she took underwater.

Holly will be back on TV in early September, along with her co-host Phillip Schofield, who has also been enjoying a summer break with his family.

During the summer it was reported that Holly has left her YMU Entertainment agency to set up her own female-focused management company – Roxy Management.

The Sun reported Holly wanted to be able to take more control and improve her “work-life balance”.

A source said: “Lockdown has given her time to reflect and think about her future.

“In many ways, it has become the perfect opportunity to start afresh and it was just time for a change.
