Caroline Flack’s best friend has paid a heartbreaking tribute to the late star, as August marks the six month anniversary of her death.

Caroline was 40 years old when she was found hanged at her Stoke Newington home in north London on February 15 of this year.

At the time of her death, the Crown Prosecution Service intended to go ahead with her trial on a charge of assaulting by beating, after an alleged bust-up with boyfriend Lewis Burton in December 2019.

Caroline pleaded not guilty, and Lewis maintained her innocence.

An inquest earlier this month ruled that Caroline’s death had been a suicide.

Now, friend Lou has paid tribute with two snaps of the pair of them together.

One shows them both in a mirror selfie, while at another they smile at each other while chatting.

“6 months without you,” Lou wrote, “I miss you.”

She added a note to her followers: “Look after your friends.”

Lou has since been flooded with well-wishing messages and words of support.

Author and podcaster Connie Simmonds wrote: “Sending you so much love.”

Singer Pixie Lott shared two heart emojis, and two broken-hearted ones, while Emmerdale actress Charley Webb commented also left one of a heart.
