Rylan shares what husband Dan calls him in a row to ‘really wind him up’

Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed what his husband Dan says to him in an argument to really get on his nerves.

The nation was left gobsmacked when Rylan’s mum Linda called him his real name when they appeared on Celebrity Googlebox last month.

Speaking exclusively to Mirror Online, Rylan said that all of his family call him his real name, which is Ross.

But if he gets into a row with Dan, his hubby will call him by his stage name to really “wind him up”.

Rylan told us: “My family call me by my real name – shock! It’s only Rylan if I’m having an argument with Dan.

“That’s when he calls me Rylan because he knows how much it winds me up.”

“With my family, if they call me Rylan they’re taking the p**s,” he added.

Rylan shared that despite being in each other’s pockets 24/7 during lockdown, he and Dan have managed to get along really well.

He explained: “It’s been really nice actually, I don’t think I’ve ever spent so much time at home so it’s actually been really nice.

“We’ve managed not to kill each other so that’s a start.

“We haven’t wrung each other’s necks.”

Rylan continued: “It’s been difficult but I’ve been in a more privileged position than a lot of people.

“I’ve got a garden and things like that so I’m not going to complain becaue there’s a lot worse off out there.”

Rylan has teamed up with Flora Plant to host his own cooking show.

In the show he cooks two different types of food, one using dairy butter and the other using Flora’s plant based spread and asking guests to see if they can taste the difference.

Rylan told us: “They didn’t want a chef that would be sitting there going ‘This is what you should do’ – it’s just me, who’s probably one of the normal ones on telly.
