Katie Price has shared an update as she prepares for surgery on her legs.
The page 3 icon, 42, recently broke her feet and ankles while away in Turkey with boyfriend Carl Woods and her children.
She suffered hairline fractures and is expected to undergo an operation later this week.
And as the mother-of-five prepares for the procedure, she has revealed that she has had to be tested for the coronavirus and admitted she is in “agony” after medical staff cut open the plaster casts moulded onto her legs.
Taking to her Instagram stories on Tuesday evening, the former model filmed her legs as she said: “So after another hospital trip today I had to do my covid test again – obviously as I haven’t got it and I am having my op this week – as you can see they had to slice through my cast before my operation.”
Katie then added another clip, where she told: “On my poor feet, so much agony, so much agony.”
It comes after reports that doctors gave Katie a terrifying warning ahead of her surgery.
A source told The Sun Online: “Katie’s doctors have warned her she must take her recovery seriously and it’s left her terrified.
“She’s prone to getting infections after operations, and her surgeon says she could lose a leg if her feet get infected.
“She’ll have to be so, so careful – she’ll have medical professionals on call 24/7 – and change the dressings regularly.
“She’s got a long road ahead of her.”
Yesterday, a representative for Katie confirmed for Mirror Online that she would be receiving surgery on both of her feet this week.
A source previously told The Sun that Katie will need urgent surgery later this week on her feet for them to heal in the healthiest way.
They told the paper: “She’s going in this week and the surgery will be a huge job. She won’t be able to walk for at least six months.
“Katie’s devastated, obviously, but also hopeful that the sooner the surgery happens, the quicker she can start on the road to recovery.”
The paper previously reported that Katie’s full recovery could take up to two years.
It is believed that she is unlikely to walk properly again until 2021, as her injuries are “worse than anyone realised.”
