Nandos set to sizzle with Maya Jama as new face of restaurant chain

Nandos’ hot barometer may be about to go up to a new high as TV bombshell Maya Jama has been unveiled as a new face for the Peri Peri chicken chain.

The 25-year-old TV presenter has been lined up by the restaurant chain to front a number of new advert and social media campaigns.

Fans of the Portuguese chicken restaurant chain – which famously has a ‘Peri-ometer’ which allows diners to chose from a plain spice level to extra hot – will soon see Maya promoting the brand.

The news comes as the star’s profile has hit new highs after wooing Saturday night TV fans by hosting the hit primetime show Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer on the BBC.

A source told The Sun: “Maya is sexy and relatable so Nandos thought she’d be the perfect person to get on board.

“They want to help boost business after lockdown and landing Maya’s signature on the contract was a real coup.

“She’ll film some ads for them as well as being a part of campaigns which will appear online and on social media.”

Maya is just the latest in a string of high profile stars who have been snapped up by Nandos to endorse their products.

Little Mix babe Perrie Edwards, radio DJ Roman Kemp, boxing legend Anthony Joshua and England footballer Jadon Sancho have all recently been tapped to work with the chain.

The celebs have featured on a number of amusing posts online to highlight the fact Nandos can now be delivered.

The chart topping star looks bemused when she answers the door in a dressing gown only to be ignored by the delivery man.
