Mark Wright opens up on pressure of long distance relationships

Michelle Keegan looked like she was living her best life in Australia as she posed with a cocktail, beaming for the camera.

The actress, 35, has been down under for months filming her latest BBC drama Ten Pound Poms.

Wearing a black one shoulder top with her raven locks brushed to the side, the Mancunian was the epitome of glam in the pic in which she tagged her hubby Mark Wright.

The couple have been spending time together in Oz between Michelle’s filming schedule, but Mark has admitted a long-distance relationship isn’t easy.

Speaking about their seven year marriage, he said: “I think both being in the same industry really helps. Because we get each other’s careers, and we totally understand it.

“Essentially, we both just want each other to achieve all of our goals and all of our dreams and we just support each other every step of the way for that, you know.”

However he then added: “You have to learn that you’ve been together for a long time and not seen each other in three weeks so it’s exciting at first but then it goes back to being a 10-year relationship,” reports MailOnline.

Mark flew out to join Michelle after he wrapped filming A Wright Old Adventure alongside his dad Mark Senior and his brother Josh.

The pair were previously apart for eight weeks as the former Corrie actress got stuck into her new role.

Much has been said about the couple’s relationship with many accusing them of not spending enough time together.

However, Mark has always denied there is anything to worry about, pointing out their relationship shouldn’t be anyone else’s business.

Much has been made of the couple’s long distance relationship

Even his mum Carol defended the pair when fans criticised the couple for spending their wedding anniversary apart earlier this year.

According to OK!, the mum-of-four wrote a gushing Instagram comment underneath an anniversary post that Mark shared.

“Happy anniversary to my son and daughter-in-law. Wow, seven years, but I only said today listening to you talking daily whilst you’re far away working in different parts of the world – the love is unreal,” she said.

“Yes, I do listen whilst walking past the room when Mark is in conversation, – he talks loud. But you two have an unconditional love that you have survived with having to travel apart.”

However, Carol subsequently deleted her message.

Despite this, Mark and Michelle paid tribute to one another to mark the special day with the actress saying: “Happy Anniversary to my husband, my best friend & biggest supporter. Love you.”

While Mark wrote: “7 years of being your husband. It never gets old. Happy anniversary love you.”
