Katie Price has turned to professional help after breaking both her feet on holiday in Turkey.
The former glamour model, 42, has hired rehab expert and former footballer Fred Murray to “teach her to walk again” after the horror accident landed her in a wheelchair for months to come.
Fred has previously worked with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl after his infamous injury in 2015 that saw him break his leg on stage in Sweden.
The horror fall saw Dave turn to Fred for help after he was forced to pull out of Glastonbury a couple of weeks after the injury.
And Katie is hoping to receive similar help as she navigates her way through the nasty accident that took place at a Turkish theme park.
A source close to the mum-of-five told Sun Online: “Katie is working with Fred Murray from REMENDY – he’s the best in the business and one of the top people in the UK.
“He’ll need to teach her to walk all over again as her feet heal – it could take months but if anyone can do it, he can.”
Katie is set to start working with Fred any day now, after arriving home from her eventful holiday this week.
Katie’s rep confirmed the news, telling Mirror Online: “Katie couldn’t be in better hands – Freddie is without a doubt the best in the business, I am wholly confidant he will see Katie back in more ‘Pricey Suited’ foot wear in the coming months.”
Katie revealed in a video on her YouTube channel that she had jumped over a wall to take a shortcut, not realising how big the drop was on the other side.
She suffered hairline fractures in her heels and will need surgery in the coming weeks.
Katie was seen screaming in pain as doctors tended to her injuries and wrapped her feet and lower legs in plaster.
She says she’ll need a wheelchair and a mobility scooter to help her get around as she is unable to put any weight at all on her feet.
It had originally been reported that Katie was cutting her holiday short to fly home for surgery, but Mirror Online revealed that she was seeing out the duration of her trip.
Katie’s representative exclusively told us: “Katie promised the kids this holiday, and Princess needs it after going through a hard time lately.”
The rep added: “She always puts the kids first, and even though she’s in a tremendous amount of discomfort, she doesn’t want to let the kids down by making them fly home early. She won’t let this slow her down.
“A lot of people thought the kids were being sarcastic in Katie’s video last night when they said they were having the best holiday ever, but they weren’t, they’re genuinely having a brilliant time and Katie doesn’t want to ruin that for them.”
