Wednesday’s Europa League Preview, Odds and Picks – Inter and Shakhtar Heavy Favorites

The Europa League playoffs continue tomorrow with four games scheduled. In this text, we are going to make a short preview of all of them.

FC Copenhagen vs. Basaksehir

The Turkish team has a minimal lead from the first game, 0-1, and they hope to keep as they travel to Denmark. They recently won the title in their national championship and are under euphoria. Still, that doesn’t have to mean anything as Copenhagen plays solid at home, without carrying who is across the other side.

The hosts have nothing to wait for, and they need to attack right from the start, which opens a possibility for a high-scoring game. Over 2.5 goals is our first choice, with the moneyline set at -125.

Pick: Over 2.5 goals -125

Shakhtar Donetzk vs. Werder Bremen

We really don’t know why anybody would put +130 on Shakhtar’s win, which was the moneyline once we started writing this article. It simply doesn’t have a sense of multiple reasons. First of all, the season in Ukraine lasted until two weeks ago, while on the other side, Werder ended its Bundesliga more than five weeks ago.

Also, the Germans are in massive problems when talking about injuries, and they need to travel to Ukraine, probably demotivates as they have a 1-2 deficit from the first leg. So hosts to win this one is our choice.

Pick: Shakhtar +130

Inter Milan vs. Getafe

This game is played in Germany, the organizer of the EL finishing tournament. Since these two clubs didn’t play the first leg, only one game on the neutral venue (Veltins Arena) is to take place. Inter’s Serie A ended this weekend, and on the other side, Getafe’s La Liga three weeks ago.

Apart from that, Nerrazzuri are in superb shape with two goals scored seven of their last eight games, not losing a single one during that period. Getafe was lost since the restart winning once in 11 games, not being able to reach the Europa League spot in the domestic championship, even though they battled for one of the top four places before the pause. Bet on Inter to win, with the moneyline at -125.

Pick: Inter -125

Manchester United vs. LASK

The Red Devils have a 5-0 lead from the first game, and Solskjaer indicated that he wouldn’t be using the strongest lineup in this event. The Austrians are coming to Manchester with their season ended terribly, after being fined for breaking COVID-19 health protocol, at the moment when they topped the league. There should be one more efficient match between these two sides, and over 2.5 goals look solid fro this perspective -195.

Pick: Over 2.5 goals -195
