Love Island: Meet Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma
Michael Owen has been at the centre of attention this week following his daughter Gemma’s debut appearance in the Love Island villa.
The 19-year-old dressage rider made her entrance on the ITV2 dating series on Monday evening (June 6), before going on to couple up with hunky Italian Davide.
But despite giving Gemma his full support, Michael didn’t appear too pleased ahead of his daughter’s villa stint.
Speaking to ITV News earlier this week, the 42-year-old said: “I have no doubts that she will make us all proud. It’s probably a father’s worst nightmare, but whatever she wants to do. You’ve got to be supportive.
“It’s been different without her in the house. I’ve got other kids and my wife, and it’s been quite tough because she’s had to switch her phone off and we’ve had no contact for a couple of weeks so that’s been the hard bit.”
But who else is supporting Gemma back in Michael’s Chester mansion?
Here, we take a look at the entire Owen clan.

Who is Michael Owen’s wife
Louise Bonsall?
Michael has been happily married to wife Louise Bounsall since 2005.
The pair first met in 1984 and quickly became childhood sweethearts whilst attending Hawarden High School in Wales.
Michael popped the question to Louise on Valentine’s Day – which is also her birthday – in 2004.
Their wedding venue was believed to be Carden Park Hotel in Chester, with the ceremony taking place on June 24, 2005.
Just like her daughter Gemma, Louise has a passion for horses and started riding at the age of seven.
However, she was involved in a horror horse riding accident in January 2004.

Michael shares four children with wife Louise
The WAG suffered multiply injuries after being thrown off her horse, Isobelle, who landed on top of her during the accident.
Louise broke her back in two places and her hip and pelvis in five places, resulting in a three-week stay in the Countess of Chester Hospital.
She was 23 at the time, while Gemma was only eight-months-old.
Following the accident, Louise began focusing on rehabilitating horses and became a patron of the Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre.
Who are Michael Owen’s other children?
Michael and Louise have welcomed four children over the course of their relationship.
As well as Gemma Rose, the pair also share James Michael, Emily May and Jessica.
The Love Island contestant is the eldest of the four Owen kids, born on May 1, 2003.
Son James followed in February 2006, while second daughter Emily May was born in October 2007.
Michael branded Gemma’s Love Island stint ‘a father’s worst nightmare’
The family went on to welcome their fourth child, Jessica, in February 2010.
Despite his successful career in football, Michael admitted he’s keen for his children to earn their own money.
Speaking on the Walk The Dog podcast regarding all four of his kids, the former footballer said: “It’s really difficult from a parent’s point of view. You want to give your children the best start and the best chance.
“But you’re always wrestling with the fact that if I just make it so easy, and I can do this and do that, is she going to learn from any mistakes?”
He added: “You want money that much – there’s a pub down the road, go and work behind the bar or something. That’s my view.”
While Gemma decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps with horses, Michael’s other children are just as sporty.
14-year-old Emily, who is still currently in school, has a number of accolades within athletics.
Last year, Michael shared his pride over Emily, saying: “Emily, today competes in the last 16 of The England Schools Athletics Championships over 100m despite being a year younger than the other competitors.”

Rare eye condition
Meanwhile, 16-year-old James shares a passion for football – just like his famous dad!
Sadly, James’ hopes of becoming a professional footballer were dashed after he was diagnosed with a rare eye condition.
“He will never be a footballer. My son’s got an eye condition,” Michael told The Times in 2019. “I’ve never said this. I don’t want a big headline.
“Clinically, he’s blind. He’s got Stargardt disease, a degeneration of his retina. I used to go and watch him and bollock him about his positioning.
“He can’t see the ball until it’s five yards away. As much as every father wants their son to play, it is almost a relief to me.”
Michael’s youngest daughter Jessica is 12-years-old.
