Jeff Bridges has given his fans an update after he was diagnosed with lymphoma.
The Big Lebowski actor, 71, said he is “feeling good” and has shaved off all his hair.
It comes after he shared news of his diagnosis back in October, as he told his fans he was starting treatment and promised to keep them updated.
Lymphoma is a type of blood cancer that develops when white blood cells called lymphocytes grow out of control and attack the immune system.
On Monday, Jeff took to his website to share a picture of his newly shaven head and a list of handwritten bullet points about how he’s doing.
He wrote: “Here’s the latest: Feeling good.
“Shaved my head, got a puppy (Monty), had a birthday – 71 man.”
Jeff continued: “Well here’s the latest batch of what I want to point out.
“Music: We need it man, and all our musicians are having a hell of a time making a living these days with the Covid deal – no venues, can’t play anywhere.”
He then shared a couple of his favourite songs.
Jeff went on to encourage his fans to donate to the US charity No Kid Hungry to support children in need during the pandemic.
He finished off his post with the words: “Be love.”
In October Jeff said the prognosis is currently “good” and that he is “profoundly grateful” for the support he has received so far.
Announcing the diagnosis on social media, Oscar-winner Jeff referenced one of his most famous characters and said: “As the Dude would say.. New S*** has come to light. I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma.”
He continued: “Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good.
“I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.
“I’m profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes.”
