Sheridan Smith and son Billy set for Xmas in new home after tragic festive past

Sheridan Smith is excited about celebrating Christmas this year as she’s going to spend it in a new home.

The former Royale family star is set to spend the festive season in her brand new house with baby son Billy, who she welcomed in May with her fiancé Jamie Horn.

After years of renting, Sheridan finally decided it was time to purchase a forever home after welcoming her precious bundle of joy during the summer.

Lifting the lid on her exciting Christmas plans, the 39-year-old told OK! Magazine : “I’ve been renting for the last couple of years and I’ve finally just got my completion on my new house.

“By the time Christmas comes, we will be in our new place and finally, we will have our first home as a family for Billy.

The actress, who lost her dad four years ago this month, is finally excited about the festive season again thanks to her son who has given her a reason to be happy again.

Sheridan previously opened up about her battle with depression after her beloved dad’s death and revealed December is an incredibly difficult time for her and her family.

Although her dad’s passing is still a raw subject, Sheridan feels that she will be able to find enjoyment this year thanks to Billy.

“It makes you enjoy Christmas again when you’ve got a little one. It’s infectious,” she explained.

“The last couple of years, since my dad passed away, I didn’t enjoy Christmas because it happened around that time. But now, to be able to have it for my little boy, it’s all so exciting again. I can’t wait.”
