Lisa Snowdon is feeling more confident than ever after ditching booze and turning to a vegan diet.

The former model, 48, decided to switch up her eating and drinking habits in a bid to “reset” her body and help improve her quality of sleep.

Lisa – who never weighs herself and says she did not change her eating habits to lose weight – took to Instagram on Thursday to share on her health kick and told that she estimates she has lost around a stone since making healthier choices in the kitchen.

This Morning fashion segment host showcased the enviable results of her transformation on the photo-sharing app as she posed in a grey snake print crop top and matching leggings.

She also uploaded a snap where she did not pose as she told her fans she wanted to “let it all hang out” in order to be transparent about social media and beauty standards.

Lisa typed: “Been booze-free for 3 weeks now and pretty much on a plant-based diet for about 6 weeks- Wasn’t about losing weight, wasn’t meant to be for this long it was about having a reset, improving the quality of my sleep and trying to curb my sugar cravings mid-afternoon.

“I don’t weigh myself, I don’t even own scales, as I know what I’m like and I’d be on and off them most days which I don’t think for me is healthy, but I do know that I have lost weight.

“I can tell by the way my clothes fit. Maybe a stone who knows….. I will also tell you that the photos you see on Instagram are the edited, the sometimes retouched, the filtered, the hold everything in including your breath till you’ve taken the pic tense it all and then swipe to the second pic where you let it all hang out. “My body whatever the angle doesn’t repel me, and at almost 49 yrs old I’m proud of that attitude, I have acceptance. The stretch marks, the story they tell, I truly have love and respect for all my body has been through, the illnesses, the operations and the strength that it has day to day.”

She continued: “Don’t get me wrong I still want to look after myself the best I can. Keep fit and healthy, eat well, exercise and try to fight gravity, a near-impossible mission! Hahaha! Just a little body-positive post on a cold Thursday morning.”

Lisa recently shared that she is becoming more confident as she ages.

Earlier this year she told Mirror Online: “I think there’s an element of self-acceptance and you get to the age where you stop worrying so much.

“Obviously we all want to look our best and be the best versions of ourselves but obviously you don’t want to stress about it so much as long as you’re feeling good and you’ve got energy and you’re healthy, that’s such a major factor in feeling good every day and you worry less about the small things.”
