Reality TV star Cara De La Hoyde broke down in tears in Asda following a struggle breastfeeding her newborn.

The Love Island winner, 30, welcomed her baby daughter on Tuesday with her husband Nathan Massey.

However, the mother-of-two was left highly emotional after a much-desired trip to leave the house and go to the supermarket led to her emotions overflowing.

Heading to Asda for a trip, Cara later told her followers why it went so wrong for her there.

She detailed: “Nathan said he would do the shopping, but I said ‘no, I want to get out for an hour and just look at baby grows. I just wanted to get out and be a bit normal.

“But then she started crying and didn’t really know what to do.

“Normally they’ve got a café, so you could go and sit in the café and feed, but obviously at the moment it’s a weird time.

“There’s nowhere to sit, but rather than just go back to the car like Nathan said I just had a breakdown and started crying like a weirdo.”

However, another part of living with Covid-19 helped Cara to disguise her emotional episode.

She revealed: “Thankfully because I had a face mask on people couldn’t really tell.”

Cara and Nathan are due to reveal the name of their newborn daughter and her face in a magazine photoshoot next week, having welcomed her on Tuesday.

The mum-of-two was admitted to hospital the week prior due to her being diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, a condition which causes high blood pressure during pregnancy and following labour.

She shared an adorable selfie with her new baby girl not long after giving birth, with the tot holding her thumb.

She wrote: “She’s here and home. We are both want to say a massive Thank you to all the amazing ladies who looked after us @darent_valley_hospital over the last few days.”

She signed off: “Thank you for all your messages that have kept me going.”

Cara and Nathan are currently based in Essex and have a two-year-old son named Freddie-George.

In addition to Love Island, the pair have appeared in a recurring capacity on constructed-reality series The Only Way Is Essex.
