Charlie Brooks breaks silence after being sent home from I’m A Celebrity

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2012 winner Charlie Brooks took to her Instagram stories to break her silence after she didn’t appear on the show this year

Charlie Brooks has broken her silence after being sent home from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! without appearing on the ITV show.

The former EastEnders actress, 39, was allegedly expecting to make an appearance on this year’s show until TV bosses decided against the idea.

She won I’m A Celeb in 2012 and is believed to have even self-isolated for two weeks in preparation for this year’s appearance, but she was spotted returning home last week without appearing onscreen.

But she didn’t mention her no-show when she returned to post on her Instagram account on Sunday night.

Charlie, who played Janine Butcher in EastEnders, took to her stories to share a picture of herself.

Dressed in a black star-print jumper, she looked a bit fed-up as she lay down on her back and looked away from the camera.

She captioned the post: “I’d quite like to move away and live by a beach, eat seafood every day and have a new adventure.

“The time may just be coming.”

Her post comes after it was reported that Charlie was upset to be not appear on I’m A Celebrity this year.

According to The Sun, Charlie was sent home alongside Joey Essex, Joe Swash and Vicky Pattison.

The reason why they had been sent home at this time remained a mystery, it’s claimed.

A source told the paper: “It was never clear exactly what role the four stars would play on the series, but it’s obvious they’d been chosen as they were among the most popular former contestants.
