Shane Richie’s son has said AJ Pritchard would ‘probably batter his dad’ in a fight after the tension between the two I’m A Celebrity… Get Met Out of Here! campmates reached new heights last night.
During Thursday night’s episode from Gwrych Castle, Shane chucked his mess tin on to the floor after eating and jokingly asked who was going to clean it, knowing that it was AJ’s chore for the next few days.
“There you go, how do you like them apples?!” Shane asked the professional dancer after they exchanged words earlier this week.
Viewers noticed AJ shoot a sideways glance at the EastEnders actor before Shane gave him a patronising pat on the shoulder as he walked past.
Responding to the awkward scenes on Instagram after the show, Shane Jnr said his dad was probably being edited unfairly.
“I feel sorry for my dad. I know a lot of people don’t like him… but a lot of people love him.
“I’m worried he thinks people are voting him for the trials because he’s being a kn*b or being unjust.
“The funny thing is there probably isn’t anything between him and AJ, and it’s mad because we’re all seeing a tiny little look in a 24 hour day,” explained Shane Jnr.
“AJ probably would batter my dad… but he smashed it you know, that trial tonight was really really hard,” observed Shane.
After getting a paltry two stars with Hollie Arnold last night, Shane has been voted again by the public to take on tonight’s trial with AJ.
Shane Jnr praised the public for ‘smashing it’ by voting for the pair to join forces after their moment in camp.
“I think it will be like my dad and Jessica [Plummer] they’ll come through it together and be ‘buzzing.’

Shane had previously caught viewers attention for the wrong reasons when he said in a secret chat with Vernon Kay that Jessica and Jordan North were ‘cut from the same cloth’ after their fearful reactions to the Bushtucker Trials.
The Alfie Moon star and fellow EastEnders alumni Jessica then took on a gruesome eating challenge together where they won all 12 stars on offer.
Responding again to his dad’s recent friction with the Strictly Come Dancing star, Shane Jnr said: “That look AJ gave him, I’m not going to make a big deal out of it.
“It was a joke. My dad threw the thing on the floor and then put it in the bucket. F*ck me get over it,” he added.
