I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star Shane Richie’s affair was reportedly revealed to his then-wife Coleen Nolan by Bradley Walsh.
The 56-year-old EastEnders actor and Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan, 55, were married between the years of 1990 and 1999 but it later emerged that both had been unfaithful.
Reflecting upon her relationship with the actor and comedian, Coleen has since revealed that The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh had been a close friend at the time.
At one point, Coleen had confided in the presenter about her indiscretions, and in response Bradley appeared to drop Shane in it.
Coleen had in fact been unfaithful while she had been touring with her music croup in the 90s.
Writing in her memoir No Regrets, Coleen admitted that everyone appeared to be aware of her affair.
She wrote: “Everyone knew, and I think the other members of the band and crew could all see that we really cared for each other.
“Bradley and I got on very well, as he’d previously dated my sister Bernie, so one day when we were sitting outside on the prom, I told him, ‘I feel so guilty, but I have all these feelings for him.’
Bradley then suggested that Shane also may have had something to answer for himself.
“‘I’m not being funny, Coleen,’ Bradley replied. ‘I get on great with Shane, but you don’t need to feel as guilty as you do. He’s not so innocent either.'” she continued.
“‘Well, you might be right, Bradley,’ I sighed. ‘But I can’t make a fuss about rumours, particularly after what I’ve been doing.'”
At the time, Coleen had her suspicions that Shane had also been unfaithful but didn’t want to believe the rumours.
Shane eventually confronted his wife and their marriage came to an end in 1999.
Later in Shane’s autobiography, Rags to Richie, the actor admitted that he had been unfaithful on Coleen with dancer Claire Taylor.
Coleen eventually went on to marry Ray Fensome but they divorced in 2018, while Shane married actress Christie Goddard in 2007.
