Isaiah Washington Slams ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Co-Star Katherine Heigl Again, Reigniting Their Decade-Old Drama

Isaiah Washington just reignited his drama with Katherine Heigl, the Grey’s Anatomy co-stars first feuding no less than a decade ago! Here’s what the actor had to say!

Earlier today, Washington took to his Twitter account to slam the actress directly, his message very clear.

‘This woman once proclaimed that I should ‘never’ be allowed to speak publicly again. The world agreed with her proclamation then and protested for my job and head in 65 languages. I wish that I was on Twitter in 2007, because I’ll NEVER stop exercising my free speech. I have learned that no amount of money can replace your dignity and integrity. Some call it living by your principles,’ he wrote, both in his tweet as well as in its comment section.

As for the reason why he decided to attack Katherine now, it remains unclear, especially since it’s been such a long time since they last feuded.

Fans remember that the whole drama happened back in 2007 when the actress called out the actor for supposedly using a homophobic slur, and even directing it at one of their Grey’s Anatomy co-stars – T.R. Knight!

At this point in time, Heigl is yet to respond to Washington’s new tweet about her.

As far as what happened in 2007 is concerned, however, one source tells E! News that she is still very proud she stood up for T.R. back then.

‘Katherine stood up for her close friend twice when Isaiah publicly outed him and called him a f—-t. That’s hate talk, not free speech. She is proud she stood up for him. Katherine is and will always be an advocate and ally to the LGBTQ community.”

That same year, Isaiah denied the accusation while at the Golden Globe Awards, arguing that ‘There is no way I could do anything this vile, and horrible, not only to a castmate but to a fellow human being.’

In response, Katherine later told Access Hollywood that ‘I’m going to be very honest right now, he needs to just not speak in public. Period.’
