Piers Morgan has reportedly splashed out on a pricy £15,000 sound-proof pod for his plush garden.
The Good Morning Britain host, 55, is reported to have paid a hefty sum for a spherical “man cave” that would sit at the bottom of his Kensington house’s garden.
And according to planning documents, the project promises “high levels of acoustic insulation”, reports The Sun.
In planning permission paperwork for the structure, engineers said: “The proposed archipod garden structure is intended to provide a quiet, remote working space for Mr Morgan that is separate from the house.
“The pod has high levels of acoustic and thermal insulation together with generous natural light.”
What’s more, the spherical structure is set to be completely sound-proof from the inside, meaning that Piers will have all the freedom to use the building at his own leisure.
Mirror Online has contacted Piers’ reps for comment.
And he’s reportedly got a pretty good idea of what he’ll be up to in there.
The telly presenter hopes to use his man cave to work on more of his books and ideas – especially after he received positive feedback from his latest book, Wake Up: Why The World Has Gone Nuts.
In fact, his book topped the bestsellers list months before its release.
The non-fiction piece examines his fears surrounding a new form of liberalism that he feels is stifling free speech.
Announcing his book earlier this year ahead of its October release date, Piers said: “The biggest threat to our freedom in the 21st century isn’t coronavirus but hysterically woke liberals trying to kill democracy by suppressing free speech.
“This is my clarion call, as a liberal myself, for them to stop screaming, shaming and cancelling everyone they disagree with, and start being part of the solution to global disharmony and division – not the problem.”
And who knows, we might be seeing more books from the outspoken presenter once his pod’s been built…
