Amber Heard and Elon Musk were locked in a legal battle over her frozen embryos, it is claimed.
In documents seen by the Mirror, Jennifer Howell – a pal of Heard’s sister Whitney Henriquez and mum Paige – says the latter told her that billionaire Musk was suing the actress.
In the statement, Howell said: “Paige told me…. she was in a legal battle with him over the rights to embryos they had created together. He wanted to destroy them, and Amber tried to keep them to have a baby.”
Comparing Musk to Amber’s ex husband Johnny Depp, Howell said: “Paige told me that Johnny was either an angel or a saint compared to Elon.”
Paige died in May and Howell made the claims in a US libel trial Depp has brought against Heard. Her statement will be evidence in the trial in January.
She received subpeonas from Depp’s lawyer after Whitney testified in the High Court in Depp’s libel trial against The Sun for calling him a “wife-beater”.
In Depp’s UK case, Henriquez said a drunken Depp nearly pushed her down the stairs at his LA home in 2015 when she intervened in a dispute.
She said Heard responded, “don’t hit my sister” and hit him. Henriquez said Depp, 57, “went for Amber”, adding: “I saw him punch her hard in the head.”
But Howell – Henriquez’s employer at charity The Art of Elysium at the time – disputed this in a sworn declaration to a US court, describing Heard as “extremely violent” and saying she feared Heard “was going to kill” Depp.
London’s High Court heard Musk visited Heard at the LA penthouse she shared with Depp during their marr-iage. But Musk, 49, told The New York Times he did not sleep with Heard behind Depp’s back and their relationship started after she filed for divorce.
Heard, a defence witness, stating Depp assaulted her on 14 separate occasions. Depp categorically denies claims he was physically violent to her. Henriquez called Howell’s statements “complete fiction”.
Elon Musk didn’t respond to requests for comment.
