Dani Dyer’s boyfriend Sammy Kimmence will stand trial just weeks after she gives birth.
In February Sammy, 23, appeared in court to deny allegations he scammed two pensioners out of £34,000 by posing as a financial investor.
The stockbroker denies two charges of conning elderly men, aged 90 and 80, out of their cash at Portsmouth Crown Court.
And now pregnant star Dani, 24, is reportedly “upset, worried, terrified” about the the upcoming court date which has pushed back from June this year to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A source told The Sun Online : “Dani is upset, worried, terrified. Without a court date they kind of pushed this all to the back of their minds – now it is very real.”
The insider added: “Her baby is due at the end of January and then Sammy will up in court a few weeks later.
“Those first few weeks of having a newborn baby are so special but it will also be the countdown to his trial.”
Mirror Online have contacted a rep for Dani for comment.
The father of Dani’s child is accused of duping the two elderly men by running “S&S Trading Ltd” for two and a half years.
He is said to have first crossed paths with the pensioners as they were clients at the investment company he used to work for.
Kimmence – who is currently on bail – is alleged to have taken them on as clients by falsely claiming he could provide financial services after the business stopped operating.
In February prosecutor Mike Mason said “special measures” have been put in place for the elderly victims who have been stated as potentially “vulnerable”.
Mr Mason explained: “We anticipate this is a three or four day trial.
“Bearing in mind the two complainants in this case – one is 90 and one is 80 – we have asked for special measures for both of them.”
Judge Roger Hetherington said: “Mr Kimmence, you must now hand in a detailed statement setting out your defence.
“You must attend your trial and if you fail to do so it may proceed in your absence. Meanwhile you have bail until June 29.”
In July former Love Island star Dani revealed to her 3.2million Instagram followers that she will be becoming a mum next year.
Alongside the announcement, she shared a snap of her and Sammy cuddling alongside a baby scan picture.
