Tom Parker has given fans a first look at his adorable newborn son, who he welcomed with wife Kelsey Hardwick just weeks was given his heartbreaking inoperable brain tumour diagnosis.

It has been a rollercoaster year for the couple who have vowed to stay positive in the face of the Tom’s devastating health battle.

However, the pair, who are also parents to 16-month-old Aurelia, were given a huge reason to smile as they celebrated the safe arrival of their second child this month.

In this week’s OK! Magazine, the proud parents introduce their son, who they have decided to call Bodhi for a very poignant reason, to the world.

“Bodhi means enlightenment,” revealed Kelsey. “So it just goes perfectly with our situation right now. He’s the light at the end of our tunnel.”

The actress revealed that Tom was initially reluctant about the name but she convinced him it was a fitting choice given his brave response to his terminal cancer diagnosis.

Tom, who has vowed to stay positive after the discovery, told how he became overwhelmed with emotion when he held his son in his arms for the very first time.

“It was so nice. I cried my eyes out!” he admitted.

While Kelsey said the touching father-son moment caused her to burst into tears as well.

The mum told the publication how her waters broke during an episode of The Only Way is Essex and the birth lasted just 30 minutes.

“I was so overwhelmed when he was born, because it happened so quickly. When the baby’s on you, you’re like, ‘I can’t believe it!’ We were all crying,” she shared.

Despite the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, Tom was allowed to be with Kelsey throughout and even stayed in hospital overnight with her.

Tom, a member of boyband The Wanted, discovered he had an inoperable brain tumour earlier this year- after first going to the doctors in July after suspecting something was ‘not right.’

Breaking the news to fans in September, Tom said he was ‘still in shock’ at finding out he had a grade IV glioblastoma.

“I knew something wasn’t right, but I never expected it to be this,” he shared, vowing “I’m going to be here. I’m going to fight this.”

Tom suffered a seizure in July and was put on a waiting list for an MRI scan.

Six weeks later he suffered a second more serious seizure during a family holiday to Norwich and was rushed to hospital.

The Glad You Came singer underwent three days of tests after which he was diagnosed with cancer.

Due to coronavirus restrictions at the time, Kelsey was not able to be with him and he had to receive the terrifying news on his own.

However, as they shared the diagnosis with fans, a defiant Tom and Kelsey said they would be fighting the battle together.

“We don’t want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options,” they said in a joint statement.

Tom is now undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy for the tumour.
