David Beckham has vowed to take ‘revenge’ on his wife Victoria Beckham after she embarrassed the footballer in a recent social media post.
The 45-year-old footballer was left red faced as fans ripped into him after Posh shared a picture of them on her Instagram.
In the original snap, Dave was suited and booted to commemorate Remembrance Day but finished his look off with an enormous pair of brown boots.
His wife Victoria, modelled a smart casual look with two-tone jeans and an oversized jumper.
Loyal fans quickly took to the comment section to mock David’s choice of footwear, making several hilarious comparisons.
“David, Goliath called, he wants his boots back!” one follower joked.
“Had to the 2 minute silent outside and couldn’t find his slippers so he found the Gaston costume boots,” joked another.
Later, David tried to explain that Victoria was meant to crop his boots out of the picture before posting it on social media.
Sharing an update on his Instagram story, David posted the original picture alongside an image of the Disney character Gaston from Beauty and the Beast.
“So my wife decided to post before asking me or cropping my last minute shoe option,” the dad of four explained.
“Revenge will be sweet @VictoriaBeckham,” he added in the hilarious post.
The cheeky exchange didn’t end there, and Victoria decided on making a final dig at her husband for his fashion faux pas.
“Gaston wants his boots back,” she teased, as well as resharing David’s image.
It’s not the first time that the power couple – that have been married for 21 years – have shared an hilarious exchange on social media.
Over the summer, Victoria roasted her husband after he shared a throwback snap taken 15 years ago alongside a current recreation.
“This is the best post I have every seen!!! It is EVERYTHING!!” the mum of four joked in the comment section.
David quickly clapped back, adding: “Whatever @victoriabeckham better than your golden hour shot that I didn’t know u were posting.”
