After a tumultuous year, it seems some celebs just cannot wait to get 2020 behind them.

Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright have opted to put up their Christmas decorations extra early this year to combat the 2020 blues.

After all the year has thrown at us, the couple have brought the festive period forward and decided to inject a dose of Christmas cheer six weeks early.

Mark, 33, took to his Instagram this weekend to share the process with fans as the couple transformed their enormous Essex mansion into a winter wonderland.

The pair have really gone all out this year, putting a huge Christmas tree up in the middle of their hallway, as the focal point when guests can eventually come over.

Mark admitted they had to send a previous tree back as it was too tall for the space next to their grand sweeping staircase.

The second attempt fit perfectly and could be seen to have been adorned with all manner of decorations including giant red and white baubles, lollypops, peppermint candy canes, and nutcrackers.

Green garlands were seen trailed up the banisters next to the lavish tree, while signs for Santa and fairy lights lead further into the house.

Mark and Michelle didn’t neglect the outside of their huge home either, taking their candy cane theme out onto the front porch.

The couple opted for a huge festive archway which stretched up and over the top of their front door – making the home a real festive spectacle.

Two life-size nutcrackers guarded the entranceway with presents at their feet.

The inviting archway was adorned with similar decorations to those on the tree in the hallway, taking the theme outside.

Sharing a video of the transformation to Instagram, Mark wrote: “Christmas has come early in our house! Had an absolute mare with the tree, then we got it right.”

The former TOWIE star also thanked the company that helped them get everything sorted.

Meanwhile Michelle, 33, shared a snap of the front of the house from the driveway, giving fans a view of the whole stunning festive transformation.

“The festivities have started early.

“It’s 2020, and the rules have gone out the window!! Pass me the mulled wine,” the actress wrote.
