Khloe Kardashian, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande are among a host of celebrities that have celebrated Joe Biden’s victory as he wins the US presidential election 2020.
With Joe Biden finally set to head to the White House after a nail-biting election, celebs such as KUWTK’s Khloe Kardashian have expressed their relief that Donald Trump’s presidency is coming to an end.
Khloe shared her excitement of the news, despite her brother-in-law Kanye West failing to win his controversial run for the US presidency.
“OMG I want to cry tears of joy!!!! Bravo!!!” the mum-of-one shared with her 28.6 million Twitter followers.
Lady Gaga, who also recently appeared at Joe Biden’s rally, shared two emotional videos with her Instagram followers to mark the news.
“I hope you’re all celebrating,” Lady Gaga began in her tearful post.
“I hope all the women know in this country that there is a real, real reckoning and a real change and I hope that people whose voices who have been pressed by power, I hope that you know your voices were heard.
“I’m honestly kind of speechless, this is a very special day. A day where a lot of people who have felt like we were living a state of terror and aggression all the time – that it’s over.
“You can feel warm now,” the songstress explained.
Music sensation Lizzo was also among the celebrities to lead the celebrations at news of the results.
“Let’s get to work, America. It’s time to hold the people in charge accountable. It’s time for them to listen. And it’s time for actual change in our policies and practices,” the songstress wrote.
Lizzo shared the statement alongside an emotional video of herself reacting to the news.
Rain On Me singer Ariana Grande also showed her support for Joe Biden’s win, adding a number of exclamation marks alongside a picture of the Democratic candidate.
“CRYING @JoeBiden@KamalaHarris THANK GOD,” Ariana penned on Twitter.
Khloe Kardashian’s younger sister Kylie Jenner has also shared an image on her Instagram story to mark her joy about the results.
The re-posted snap features a picture of Kamala Harris – who will become the US’s first female Vice President – covered in confetti.
The Avengers actor Mark Ruffalo had some stern words for Donald Trump, writing: “So long, grifter!” alongside a meme from The Apprentice.
Actress Reese Witherspoon has also commented on the results, saying that it had been a “monumental day” for the United States.
“What a tremendous moment in our nation’s history ! Congrats to our new President @JoeBiden and the First Female Vice President in our history @KamalaHarris,” she wrote.
In a nod to her iconic tune, Miley Cyrus also wrote: “Now THIS is a PARTY IN THE USA! @JoeBiden@KamalaHarris.”
