First Dates’ Fred Sirieix delays wedding to fiancée ‘Fruitcake’ until 2022

First Dates host Fred Sirieix has been forced to delay his wedding in Jamaica to his Jamaican fiancée, who he has nicknamed Fruitcake

First Dates star Fred Siriex has been forced to delay his wedding until 2022.

The French maître d’, 48, appeared on Good Morning Britain and spoke with presenters Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd about his upcoming nuptials.

Sadly, it seems the unpredictable travel situation due to the coronavirus pandemic has impacted his plans.

Speaking on the show on Tuesday, Fred said: “Well we are waiting to see when we can travel as it’s important to have friends and family there.”

He went on to add: “We have to stay fluid here, it’s out of control, but we are planning for early 2022 now.”

Fred proposed to his mystery Jamaican girlfriend, who he sweetly refers to as ‘Fruitcake’, at their London home in Peckham whilst in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Discussing the proposal, Fred said that “it was perfect because she said ‘yes'”.

He continued: “The main thing the only thing is I did not get a ring, but I’ve managed to do it now we are out of lockdown, and she is very happy. So, all is well.”

The maître d’ also discussed his plans for the stag do with his friend and TV chef Gino D’Acampo.

Fred revealed: “Yes, listen it’s going to be fun if Gino organises it.

“It will be good fun, but I’ve been assured it’s going to be very overboard!”

The First Dates star previously revealed that he has been unmarried so far in his life and so his marriage to ‘Fruitcake’ will be his first.

He is a father to a 15-year-old daughter named Andrea and 10-year-old son named Lucien from a previous relationship.

Fred recently opened up about how lockdown due to the coronavirus has led to the best sex of his life.

He told The Sun on Sunday: “I’ve never enjoyed sex as much as now. I think it’s a confidence thing and meeting another person who feels exactly the same way as me.

“I like myself much more than when I was 20, I’m a better human being than when I was 20. It’s that overall wisdom.”
