Pro chef John Torode has revealed actress wife Lisa Faulkner is top of the food chain in their kitchen, because their kids prefer her grub.
The couple return to screens later this month in a new series of their ITV hit John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.
And asked whose fare their youngsters are hungry for, John said: “Anything which is more big family stuff, it’d be Lisa for sure.
“Lisa’s roast potatoes are far better than mine. And her Yorkshire puddings are far better than mine too!”
Aussie John, 55, has grown-up kids Marcel and Casper from a previous relationship and Jonah, 12, and Lulu, 10, with his ex-wife Jessica.
Lisa, 48, was previously married to actor Chris Coghill and has daughter Billie, 14.
She and John, who fronts BBC hit MasterChef with Gregg Wallace, married in October last year after meeting when she won Celebrity Masterchef in 2010.
They fronted John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen in the summer and a further run will cover “hearty, healthy family food and tasty festive treats for the wintery weeks ahead”.
And Lisa admits that while John has taught her some new tricks in the kitchen they have clashed – over jacket potatoes.
She said: “I suppose I’ve taught him the wonders of a jacket potato!
