After her scary and worrisome experience, it looks like Tamar Braxton is finally ready to open up! That being said, the reality TV star got candid about her suicide attempt in her very first interview since it happened this summer.
The former Braxton Family Values star was a guest on The Tamron Hall Show earlier today and she had a lot to share, even though it must have been really difficult to open up.
Among the things she told the host and her fans watching, Tamar mentioned that her suicide attempt was not the only time she contemplated taking her own life.
As it turns out, she had those thoughts long before she actually acted on it.
Tamron Hall first wanted to know if Tamar Braxton was at home when it happened and if she used pills to try and kill herself.
The guest contemplated how to answer for a few seconds, just staring into the camera before finally taking a deep breath and explaining that ‘It’s so hard to say, Tamron, because I feel like there’s a responsibility for – you know, I call them family, my fans, who watch. I don’t want to give any examples. But what I will say is, that was my lowest point of life.’

Asked if she ever attempted something like that before last summer, Braxton responded that ‘There has been a time where I wanted to,’ before clarifying that it was the first time she acted on those thoughts.
She went on to mention that ‘It’s been a lot of dark, hard times. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety due to a circumstance.’
Following her suicide attempt in mid-July, Braxton took to her IG account to post, in part, that ‘It was only God’s grace and his mercy on my attempt to end my pain and my life that I am here to utilize my voice.’
