Louise Redknapp dons £1,400 Balenciaga coat as she volunteers for free kids’ lunches

Louise Redknapp maintained her glamorous looks in a £1,400 Balenciaga coat while she volunteered to make free lunches for children in half-term

Louise Redknapp volunteered in style in a £1,400 Balenciaga coat.

The singer, 45, was decked out in designer gear when she devoted her time to making meals at The School House in Battersea, London.

As she braved the cooling temperatures in the capital, the songstress rolled up the sleeves of her expensive coat.

Always glamorous, Louise looked incredible on her arrival at The School House.

The mother-of-two, who raises her sons Beau and Charles with her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp, was delighted to get involved with the project and spoke about it at length on her Instagram.

It comes as Boris Johnson refused to extend the £15-a-week food vouchers for children who need it most during the half-term and Christmas holidays.

Stepping up to the job, The School House provided cold and hot reheatable food for free to children during half-term.

Louise opened up about her experience volunteering for the day making meals with her 714K fans.

She wrote: “Today I spent the day preparing meals down at @theschoolhouselondon. They are offering free school dinners during half term and providing both cold and hot reheatable food packages for those in need. No child should ever go hungry.

“This amazing gesture from @mattmcclymont and @tomvwess is all helping those families struggling during these tough uncertain times and it would be amazing if more people or businesses could get involved.

“We shouldn’t even have to be having the conversation about if or not children should be entitled to free meals… if the government won’t do anything about it… then we can try and help #endchildfoodpoverty x.

Louise offered a helping hand after she suffered fresh heartache over her dog Corky’s death.

The Strictly Come Dancing finalist paid loving tribute to her late pooch whom she had rescued with her ex-husband.

She wrote: “I’m so heartbroken to have to share with you that we lost our gorgeous boy Corky yesterday…

“I’m gonna miss the howling when there is someone coming in the house, the drool on the floor when there is food around and the big cuddles on the sofa.
